I’ve been experimenting with different granola recipes lately and this is one of my favourite. I’ve also been trying to think of ways to add extra nutrition to the things I eat. Green powders are great for that, especially spirulina, which is super rich in protein, vitamins and minerals.
I must say I am not the biggest fan of the taste of spirulina. Actually, if I’m honest, I think it tastes gross! But I always add it to my green smoothies and the other flavours usually mask the unpleasantness and I can hardly taste it. So I thought “why not add some spirulina to my granola?”. And I did just that. And it was awesome!
Pair this granola with some coconut yogurt, banana, berries and you’re set! It’s the perfect breakfast. And this recipe makes a huge batch that lasts for ages. Just keep it in an airtight glass container and it will stay crunchy.
