Ingredients
- 1 cup steel-cut oats
- 1 can coconut milk
- 2 1/2 cups water
- 1 cinnamon quill
- 4 cardamon pods
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup
- 2 fresh figs cut in half
- chopped nuts
Instructions
- Place oats, water, coconut milk, cinnamon and cardamon in a pot over medium heat. Wait for it to come to a boil then reduce the heat to low and simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- When oats are cooked remove the cinnamon quill and cardamon pods and divide into 2 bowls. Drizzle with some maple syrup, top with some chopped nuts of your choice and the fig. Serve immediately.
