I am not quite sure where this dish actually originates from. Some websites say it’s Chinese and others say it’s from Southeast Asia. Oh well, if someone finds out, please let me know! Anyway, all I know is that this dish is normally made with some sort of minced meat. But my version is obviously vegetarian and I used tempeh and mushrooms as a meat substitute. I am not quite sure how the authentic version is made either so this recipe has my own touch.
This recipe is a great option to serve as an entree or if you just feel like having a light meal.
