Since acquiring my Vitamix last year I have been completely obsessed with smoothies of all kinds. Making breakfast has never been easier and quicker.
A few months ago I posted a recipe for my banana blueberry smoothie which was my obsession for a long time. I couldn’t get enough of it. But I finally got sick of drinking the same thing every single day and now my latest addiction is this banana, chocolate peanut butter smoothie.
It tastes amazing, it’s loaded with superfoods and gives me lots of energy to start my day. The texture is very similar to that of a thick shake. I also usually add a scoop of vegan protein powder (just to give me an extra boost), but that is optional, it tastes just as good without it.
- 2 small frozen bananas
- 250ml veggie milk (I used almond)
- 1 tbsp peanut butter
- 1 tbsp chia seeds
- 1 tbsp LSA
- 1 tbsp raw cacao powder
- 5 dried pitted dates
- 6 ice cubes
- Prep time: 5 min
- Servings: 1
- Difficulty: easy
Simply place all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Serve immediately!
