Lately I have been obsessed with making smoothies for breakfast. They are so quick and easy to make and taste amazing, and that’s exactly what I need to get me started for the day. I have tried a few different flavour combinations but I keep coming back to the same one, banana and blueberry.
I like adding oats, LSA and chia seeds for some extra goodness and it also helps me stay full for longer. I usually soak my oats overnight for a creamier texture, but if you have a decent high speed blender you probably don’t need to.
You can use any veggie milk (soy, almond, oat, coconut, etc). Also this recipe works with any type of berry, or any fruit really. But try banana and blueberries first, you can’t go wrong.
Ingredients
- 1 banana
- 1/2 cup frozen blueberries
- 1 1/2 cup soy milk (or any veggie milk)
- 1/3 cup quick oats soaked overnight in 1 cup of water
- 1 teaspoon agave nectar
- 1 tablespoon chia seeds
- 1 tablespoon LSA
- 3 ice cubes (optional)
- Prep time: 2 min
- Servings: 1
- Difficulty: easy
Directions
Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Serve immediately.

Delicious! You can also throw in spinach or kale for some greens. It doesn’t look as pretty, but the tast is all the same.
